What Does The Acura P1077 Code Mean?

When the PCM sends a close (long runner) command, no long runner return signal is received for at least 7 seconds. Execution is once per drive cycle, engine speed, 3,600 rpm and intake air temperature a minimum of 5 ºF (-15 ºC).

NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1077 Code?

  • Poor connections or loose terminals at the IMT actuator and the PCM
  • “Open” circuitbetween the PCM and the IMT actuator
  • Faulty IMT actuator
  • PCM may need to be updated with the latest software
  • Faulty PCM
