What Does The Acura B1240 Code Mean?

This code indicates poor communication between the Front Mode Control Motor and the Climate Control Unit – (“Open”) condition.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura B1240 Code?

Below are some possible causes of this DTC:

  • Perform the HVAC self-diagnostic function with the HDS
  • “Open” in the wires between the Climate Control Unit and the Front Mode Control Motor
  • Broken linkage or door
  • Faulty Front Mode Control Motor
  • Faulty Climate Control Unit
